Nathan Horton Injury Update: Listed as Day-to-Day

Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals could turn out to be even worse than losing the game.

Nathan Horton is being listed as ” day to day” after injuring his shoulder in the triple overtime thriller Wednesday night, not exactly great news for the Bruins. Horton has once again elevated his game during this post season leading the NHL in plus/minus, and tallying 18 points in just 17 games. Put this on top of the loss of Gregory Campbell, makes the potential loss hurt a lot more.

The potential absence of Horton leaves a top line wing spot open for Tyler Seguin. Seguin has had a lackluster playoff and maybe playing with David Krejci and Milan Lucic will help him bust out. Obviously playing with the likes of Chris Kelly (-9) Rich Peverley(-6) and Kaspars Daugavins is not working.

Remember Horton did miss the bulk of the Stanley Cup Final in 2011 with a concussion, the rest of the team stepped up then and they may have to do that again Saturday.
